About Brandon

Rep.-Hixon-Professional-214x300

I was born and raised in Salmon, Idaho and I am a proud 4th generation native Idahoan. I have never lived outside of this great State. I graduated from Salmon High School in 2000. I then went on to Idaho State University from 2000 to 2002, whereupon I transferred to Boise State and took general courses from 2003 to 2004. I now reside in Caldwell with my wife and our 5 beautiful children. We have lived in Caldwell for the past 7 years.

I have always fought hard for Idaho. I believe that Idaho is a true glittering diamond among all 50 States. It is my opinion that Idaho is a role model for this Nation. That being said however, there are many issues to tackle and to improve upon. My leadership for Canyon County began in 2008, when I was invited to attend a Republican Central Committee meeting to get more involved. I was then appointed to Precinct Alternate Chairman for Precinct 8 in Caldwell. I helped with several events to help Republicans get elected and promote our conservative philosophy. In late 2011, I was appointed Canyon County Presidential Caucus Chairman where I led the charge in successfully orchestrating one of the largest single event caucuses in the Nation. This was unprecedented in the State of Idaho and it was because of the work of my committee, the State Party, and I that we were able to make history and bring in all 4 major Republican Presidential Candidates to hear Idaho issues. We helped make Idaho relevant.

Huckabee Show

In February of 2012, I was very humbled when I accepted the 2012 Republican of the Year Award for Canyon County. Prior winners of this award include current and past Governors, House Representatives, Senators, and other leading Republican figures.

In November of 2012, I was elected to the Idaho House of Representatives to be a strong voice for my 50,000 constituents in legislative District 10, which encompasses most urban Caldwell and West Nampa.

I currently serve on the Business and Insurance, the Transportation and Defense, and the Health and Welfare committees in the House of Representatives. My service also extends to the Idaho Commission on Hispanic affairs and the Healthcare Task Force in the interim. I am very active within our community and the Caldwell Chamber of Commerce. I take very seriously the fact that my votes not only directly impact the citizens of District 10, but also the 1.6 million residents in the State of Idaho. My family and I have a vested interest in District 10, Canyon County, and the entire State of Idaho and I will work hard to make sure that Idaho continues to be the place we all love to call home. Feel free to reach out to me anytime.
